This was the second year the artist was among the few awarded finalist for the Country Energy Prize
with this work recieving special commendation from prize judge - Suzanne Archer.
"The Recluse" was awarded 1st Prize 2006 Southern Cross Arts Festival, Ballina. Awarded Highly Commended
for Most Outstanding Exhibit Oils or Acrylic as well recieving the Popular Choice Prize at the Bentley Art Prize 2006.
